if I though for a moment my performance and ability was impacted in such a way as to cause danger to anyone else I wouldn't even think of riding it will be mostly healed before the track days anyway

I've raced with strapped up fractures (mostly wrists), I even did a meet at Pembrey one year on crutches following knee reconstruction.

I've crashed twice as a result (Pembrey being one of them) because I wasn't physically fit enough to turn the bike at the point at which my brain told me I should be turning.

Fortunately both times didn't involve anyone else, but I'd have hated to be someone dicing with me at the time.

The reason I did it.... young and stupid (bit like you really) and thought it was cool and hardcore.

I'm 42 now...... I ache
