that as you all probably know that I need to sell due to me being unable to ride due to my inconsiderate and selfish neck.
I've been offered £2600 trade in against a bike I want to buy on Saturday. Just for a laugh I started looking at them on Autotrader and even with it needing a new back tyre and a service, I seem to be selling myself well short. If i spend the £500 necessary to get it ready to sell do you think it'll go for significantly more than £3100 which would be my break even price against trading in?(for the sake of a 100 squids I can't be bothered. Time and effort Vs convenience)
Any thoughts welcome and I have the cash flow to be able to add a third bike to my collection whilst I sell the R6

You're welcome  ;)

Forget all this. I can't let it go. Other ideas to follow.

Why not?  Especially if you can't actually ride it.

I don't have a logical reason. It's such a fantastic bike to ride and it owes me nothing bar a few hundred quiid a year to keep it on the road. For that little money, the small amount I ride it's not worth getting rid of. Yes my riding is limited on it but I get a bad feeling every time I come close to selling it. I feel content with myself that it's not going tomorrow. Yes I am weird. Might even be possible I actually love my bike.

I'm not adverse to change...but my S1000r is 2 years old on March and usually by this time I've either changed or got my eye on change...but for some reason I cannot bring myself to get rid of this bike. Logic goes right out the window where bikes are concerned.
You have pondered...you have came to a decision that suits you...be happy.

Fair enough.  I read your comment that you couldn't ride it anymore, but if you still enjoy owning it then you're doing the right thing.
I sold my ZRX on a bit of a whim and have regretted it ever since.
