1999 Srad 750 fool injection

Been having a charging problem for a couple of weeks now
New battery fitted so i can rule out a battery fault

At 5000rpm the reading should be 13.5v to 15v across the terminals, im getting 13v occasionally pushing 13.5v (my tester is ancient)

ive checked plug connectors but am unsure how to rule out the rectifier or the genny?

any advice would be apreciated

Usually a fookd reg rec will overcharge a battery. But dont rule out a wiring fault.

Well ive used a multi to test the rectifier and to be honest came to no obvious conclusion either way, did a no load test on the gennie and it struggled to make 48V ac at 5000rpm, manual says it should be over 55v ac

Tried a voltage drop test & got 00.1 amp so am going to rule out wiring for now

Suzuki's are renowned for cooking batteries. they have been doing it for decades. My GSX250 did that back in 84 :(

Well did a shed load of tests with a technician friends better quality multi meter and it pointed towards the Actual gennie as i thought

Pulled the casing of and found some damage to generator winding tops so have also drained oil and pulled oil strainer from sump for a clean

new gennie windings fitted up and and engine re oiled, all looks good
