WTD £2k budget bike

A mate at work is looking for a decent bike...£2k max with as low as poss miles etc etc etc

He wants something to do a few trips to france, the odd 60 mile round trip to work. Hes never going to track it so basically a commuter.

He lives near Henley on thames

Anyone know of anything?

I have a mate selling a ZX9R E1 ( twin headlight model ) its had recent tyres and the front brakes are
virtually brand new INCLUDING the calipers. Its a blue one and we've recently been on a 5 day trip in Germany and it never missed a beat. It needs a little tidying up here and there but nothing that affects the running.

from memory he wanted £1750 , i think.
