Buy a track bike, then you can schedule in the days you'll use it in advance which will give you time to arrange child care etc

It's a lot harder to find the money to buy another once it's gone, even if you use it very infrequently I would say keep it if funds allow.

This is a a great point. The wife would squeal if i said in a few years I want to spend £x on another bike as I miss it.

It's not about though is it?...you fear for your license given your location.

I live in exact same location and have no fear for my licence?
I have found the police in essex usually have much better things to do than nicking bikers, unlike police forces in some counties

That is the main factor yes. Going to give it the rest of the summer and try to calm down a bit. Not exactly ott now! If I am not enjoying it and am just worried about losing my licence then that's that! Track days only.
