brake light playing silly buggers need help asap!!

right last night while riding to work I noticed the brake light didn't come on when I applied the front brake (rear works fine) as I am now working nights I kind of need this working so what am I looking at and what do I need to do? zx6r F-3

Have a look at the switch on the lever, it might be sticking

Sticking switch, loose wires off it, dry joints on the spade terminals on it. REplacement levers may not be actuating the switch also.

It has genuine Kawasaki levers on it Christ ash I only ordered them the other day you have given me some things to look for which is a massive help

went to have a little play with it to see if I could work the problem out and its now magically working again....

Invest in a can of electrical contact cleaner, spray it on and leave for a day and then follow that with a small squirt of WD40
