Lay your bike up for the winter. Below 10 degrees seems the marker for me.

I just loose enthusiasm for riding, when it gets cold.

I dont I'm a man........ But anything but my cheapest bike goes into hibernation end of summer....

Never used to; always ready for a run on a dry day, but tax was out end of August and bike now Sorn'd. At least it's easy enough to tax at short notice now tax discs are out

Mine don't get laid up. They're there if I  want to use them, rain or shine

it will start with its new 248cca 8.6ah battery being fitted tomorrow
