Need new tyre's and don't get on with the fitted Dunlops. Decided that I'm going to go with supercorsa sp or bt-003rs. I know they both are rubbish for life, but they'll only be used on sunny Sundays. Is it down to personal preference or is one a better tyre?

Carbon_ZX6R

I would use the supercorsas sticky as hell one of zx6rs came with one on the front ive used it in all conditions and have done 4000 miles on it and its still got a bit of life left in it and it was far from new when I got the bike

Supercorsa is the one I prefer but haven't had them on the road before so didn't know what the life was like. Just get so much feel with Pirelli, had Bridgestone before and it was good but think I'm just more of a Pirelli person... So if I do get caught out in the rain it's still rideable?

Carbon_ZX6R

ive got a super corsa on the front and a bt023 on the rear ive ridden it hard in heavy rain and ive never lost any grip what so ever

Fastas......

They're a great tyre until you get caught in the rain! I mainly use scrubs from eBay, if you're lucky you can pick up a set that's only done a few practice laps for under a ton and I've always got 2 or 3 sets tucked away in the garage! SC2 are more than adequate on the road. Steer well clear of SC0 as they're super soft and will be gone faster than you can blink!

I hadn't thought about scrubs! That's a well good idea, I'll look into doing that.Just got to be careful to make sure they're a decent seller before I buy them, I guess.

ive never had problem in the rain but that's my experiance

Yeah, I hated it! Road is different from track though... I won't be riding in the rain unless I get caught out though, so shouldn't be a problem... He says...

Alzo

The Super Corsas are lethal in the wet...life is piss poor...real sticky in the right conditions.

Metzeler m7rr are allegedly the tyre du jour. and not hyper expensive

I knew life wouldn't be great and I'm a fair weather rider... Might have to risk it just for the grin factor on the occasional sunny day that we get.
