Usually full kit, have a pair of Kevlar cargo's for the cinema trips which is 8 mile each way and have in the past worn jeans but doesn't feel quite right and I modify my riding to adjust for the additional risk, having said that as I can't currently ride anything it's a moot point this year as I suspect it'll be pissing it down again when I'm fit....

Fastas......

I was out on Wednesday, full gear on. It was roasting but I wouldn't have it any other way after seeing what can happen to people who don't

never feel comfortable riding without all the gear. ATGATT

Always wear it. Got knocked off a couple of weeks ago by a driver pulling out as I was going around a round about. If I didn't have my gear on I would have mucho grazes cuts, I've got away lightly with soft tissue issues, in my neck and shoulders.

I see some people tearing it up in shorts and T-shirts, mental! I like my skin, I've become quite attached to it over the years!

I spent a couple of hours last night in the suit scoping the latest bikernite venue (going to do some timelapse vid). OMG , was it hot or what !!!

If the summers were consistantly hot like this I'd consider getting motorcross type mesh armour suit to wear. But it isn't, so I'm not

captain sensible

Only once have I ridden in a shirt, suit trousers etc,  and felt way to unprotected to want to do it again.
That and some friends of the missus, who also work at the NHS have told me what actually happens to you both during sliding down the road and what they do to you afterwards.
So im more than happy to cook.
Now with 100% more sarcasm.

Dettol and a wire brush is what you get up here (so I was told by a nurse) .... NHS staff take no pity on the fools who don't wear proper gear!!

All the gear for me, no matter where I am going, as you just never know what's round the corner, not a risk I am willing to take.  Was sweating buckets at the weekend, but would rather that than the other option.  It amazed me how many people were out at the weekend, with jeans, t shirt, helmet and trainers ... no leathers, gloves or decent boots ... makes me cringe!

I dont tend to just "nip to the shops" or similar on mine as i have a car that i use for things like that, so if i go out on my bike its usually for a proper ride out, its always in full bike gear... whether that be kevlar jeans and leather jacket, gloves and boots or full leathers.

Never ridden mine out in anything other than bike gear

Full kit but my bike is used for commuting.
Even if I was popping out I think I'd always go with full kit as I always like a bit of knee down too.

I'd consider the mesh/light stuff but is it worth if for 2 weeks a year!
