Many people said the old "That'll T-Cut out" when the bike was couriered back to the pits.





Well....It didn't, but it did improve it somewhat.

Not a hard repair. Though other than the paint

Received the parts ordered from GBMoto for the rearsets today, and side by side comparison of the main mounting bracket you can see why it needed changing (pics later).  New footpegs and toe pieces for spares too.

Seeing as the sun was shining this afternoon, I thought I'd better get the first few things done, just to make the bike easier to move around really.


Started of with the rearset....

New mounting bracket, no gaps



Parts received from GBMoto, seeing as I was ordering from them I got some spares too.



Rearsets fitted back onto the bike, all is good again.



Then it was onto the front end....


Think this speaks for itself.



Clamp fitted under the yoke and clip on tube refitted.



Changed the bung in the end of the bar, changed the grips and aligned the clutch lever back to where it should be





That little lot wasn't cheap, but it's what was needed, and now gives me a few spares to chuck in the track box.


Next will be an order to Honda for a replacement generator cover, then I've got to decide what to do about crash protection for said cover.  Once I have the genny cover then I will also do the oil and filter change too.


Once the mechanicals are sorted then it's on to the bodywork.....time to get some supplies from work methinks.

suppose its not worth returning it to its former glory really (cosmetically)

I think you might be overestimating the amount of damage to them.

The real damage is to the seat unit, which needs a fairly major repair and then some paint to the left side.  The main fairings need only a minor repair and then a little paint (all to the left side too)

pahh fairing wise it still looks rideable is leave it as is we all know your going to bin it at Donny........

Might be time to practice your fiber-glassing Neil? From what I have seen it is an easy enough job to do of an afternoon and none too expensive? Might be quite satisfying too?
