too old?

been thinking about a monster for a while to have as my commuter and ive noticed this
my question is , am I likely to have problems due to the age , as we all remember how temperamental the sports bikes of old wore

I'd avoid one that old unless his been owned by a fanatic that's had it stripped and put back together again half a dozen times....

I was thinking same sort of thing, but didn't know if the monster engines wore as temperamental
