Has anyone ever tryed using an impact driver cordless drill to remove the sprocket nut or is it brute force with a wrench etc

Fastas......

Glenda, I tried doing mine with my compressor and impact ratchet gun but Ended up taking it to a mate who is a mechanic in the end as it was impossible to get off bu hand. He used his industrial impact driver on it! Even then it was a bitch!

big gav

its pot luck really. i've undone a few with no issues but i've also had a few that have been absolute barstewards.

go with what you have to hand then if its a sid, pop to a local garage and offer a drink to windy gun it off. then refit but not über tight to remove when you get home. or if you have a van ?

the invisible dog

Managed to round the nut on mine using brute force and a wrench, thought I was in big trouble at that point...  :undecided:
Quick tap with an impact driver and off it came  :)
