A sales flop from memory.  Probably a bit before it's time seeing how popular sports naked bikes are now.
Any that are still around must be getting on a bit now?
Yeah, maybe was a bit ahead of its time, ironic in that it's base was just too late to the market.
Street Triple was more on the money, but maybe a bit more than I want to spend.

Stretch your budget and get the Street you won't regret it  :azn:
I hear you, but they start about £5k, not £3k ish :(

I know but they are worth it that's why.  I am considering selling my 2013 Strret R , 15K miles, full service history, Arrow can, QS, crash bungs, PR4 tyres done less than 500 miles - would be looking for around £4800.

If I could stretch to that I would, but changing bikes is probably the last thing I should be thinking of just now; ergo i why I'm considering it

It did cross my mind that the Aprillia Shiver and Mana are around the 3k mark, both of which I also like, but reliability is more questionable

Aprilia Falco are a good shout on a budget. Same engine as the Mille.

Slightly odd, wrestling a hippo riding position.

I found the Z750 engine asthmatic...636 has more pull and urgency...
True the 636 has more power (about 112 bhp compared to 100, IIRC), but I found I could ride the Z750 quicker round the Scotsburgring than my 636 because the suspension was more suited to real roads. It suited me anyway.

It may be that I expected too much when I rode one...please don't hate me... :(

Pulled the trigger now it's Zed.

The bike I should've bought years ago

Nice one Dave. Not too sure of the original exhaust but the zed  looks good.
First impressions ?

Love it! Should have got one years ago, felt right as soon as I started riding it. Even the wee screen is pretty effective, then there's the engine; the lovely vooming sound and the sheer smoothness compared to the twin, especially around town.

Quite like the look of the standard exhaust, have seen ones that have been cut down a bit too.
Maybe change it at some point.

After the engine going on the beemer, I was a bit concerned of the registration being FKT, which can be read at least two ways, so fixed it ;-)
