Has anyone else had issues with Kawasaki's service levels lately?

I've got a 2018 Z1000R which threw a engine fault light the end of August.
The Bike was Recovered to a Dealer on September 1st the fault code suggests a oxygen sensor fault.
Spoke to the dealer on Friday as i've Been out the country for two weeks and they still don't know what's wrong with it.
They claim to have replaced to the oxygen sensor but the fault is still there.
They now think it's the ECU but they claim the ECU is in a metal cage and the tool Kawasaki supply doesn't work.
I'm at a loss don't kawasaki have problem fault experts in the UK to help sort this problem out.

I've now been without my bike for a month which I wasn't too fussed about as I was going on holiday but I've Ride to the Wall next Saturday and I've still no bike.

Have you spoken to Kwak UK? They should have a complaints dept. It might be the dealer dragging their feet?? If so, mention your intention to bring it up with Kwak UK and they might pull their finger out. They seem to be taking the piss time-wise.
Significantly faster than you.....

Should probably add that this is my second Z1000 this year the first one was nicked but when that went in for first service the dealer found a problem with the fork leg which required the fork lower to be replaced.
That took over a month to rectify luckily I had a courtesy bike that time.
Both these faults were handled by different dealers so I know it's not the dealer being a problem.

It really shouldn't be taking over a month to repair warranty claims on our bikes.

Dealer is the problem as Moz says...best advice I can give and is my favoured method....go fucking mental on dealer...Kawasaki UK...Customer Service...and any Kawasaki Social Media...I have immense energy for this...and I am a dog with a bone...it seems the modern way.

Two different problems dealt with by two different dealers.
Both took over a month to rectify the dealer ain't the problem it seems Kawasaki UK is.
I'm going to call them and go ape shit on them

If the dealer can't get the ECU out,( it is behind a plate, secured by 2 anti-tamper screws) you need to use another dealer. Tell them to use a centre punch to loosen the screws. I think your dealers are the problem.

Write to the dealer Manager, copying in Kawasaki UK, and politely state that as they are unable to fix the bike you are rejecting it as per your statutory rights and would like them to either replace it with a brand new one or refund you your money.
Tell them that they've had it a month, and that you are without your main transport as a result.  Give them one week to reply to your letter or regretfully that you'll have to hand the matter over to your Solicitors.

See if that gets anyone's attention.  Giving someone a broadside down the phone might feel better but calm and collected works better.

I've tried and it gets you nowhere...its now a case of he who shouts loudest...I respect that calm should yield results...but it doesn't. Good luck which ever path you decide.
