Seems I've missed the boat getting it done foc so what's the most cost effective route for insulating our loft?

Space board or something else?

If you're not using it to store, mineral wool batts cross laid as thick as you like. If the loft is vented, make sure you keep the eaves clear

Go onto B&Q etc. Have a look at their prices. Depends on how much you are buying.

I got mines cheaper from a local merchants after comparing prices.
Retired Rozzer and loving it.

Do not stuff the Insulation...it needs to fully expand to trap air...and the air is the actual insulator.

I have 1 spare roll if that's any good.

Might not be enough though.

Well a quick fag packet calculation would suggest I need 32 more rolls after the 4 I bought today.

This is not going to be cheap :|

some areas are still getting free insulation if recognised as certain postcodes - not via government but think it's to meet climate change targets or something.

My mum just got offered some. I'll see who was doing it for you.
