Howdy all

Wanted to get people opinion on these, specifically as I am heading for my first track day next week.

My questions is.... I am interested as they will help brace against braking which is the appeal but do they get in the way when transferring across the bike. I tend to have quite a mobile riding style so move around a lot, apparenty according to a riding budy its like a giraffe riding a mini moto cheeky fucker. So what do people think?

Andy M

all depends how you are used to transferring around the bike...

if you are used to sliding around the tank with pressure on it - they will stop that.

if you are used to sliding around the seat or moving across it without any presure on the tank you will be fine.

they are great though, I love them

i think you need to stop worrying about it and just ride.

;)

just to quantify this statement a little. riding on track is sufficiently different to the road to warrant concentrating on what you're doing without changing a load of stuff on the bike as well. stick with what you are comfortable with so there's not to many things that you change you lose track of what works and what doesn't (for you).

I move around quite alot on the bike, cause I'm an awkward gangly fucker, never had it fitted to my Gixxer but it was on the R1 when I got it. I genuinely can't say I've noticed it either benefiting or hampering me.

I'm sure it works and helps me grip but I can't say I've noticed an issue hanging off on the track.

Yea thats why I might not add it, don't want to change to much

Peej, If you can't notice it either way then I sharn't bother,

I shall know If I need it for next time if I am sliding into the tank a lot under braking.

the infront guys sell it at track so if you wanted to you could always buy some there....

Does this stuff not wear your leathers?

Millhouse

I've been using it for 5 years. Only just found a small graze on the inside of my left knee.

Not enough to worry about!

Go you grip the tank with your knees under braking?

Do your knees grip the tank where the Stomp Grips fit?

If the answer is "yes" then they will help.
