hi all,

well after crashing my FZR1000 EXUP 6weeks ago and I made a bit of a mess of myself, while I was in hospital I got thinking about my next bike, A mate of mine had a ZX7R that I've liked ever since I first seen it so had a chat with him and came to a deal and now I own this little toy, needs a little work, forks needs replacing as they pitted and needs new down pipes

Welcome.

Nice bike, glad to see someone else changes bikes the way I do.

A red zx7r....... Will be much faster than a green one mate.

Enjoy and beautiful colour btw

Green_Ninja

Hi and welcome :-) I hope you get you and the bike fixed up soon.

wolfieuk

oh its quick alright, it had over 600 quid spent on it at some top notch tuning place, being dyno'd and having having the carbs fine tuned,

Im fixing up slowly don't think i'll be riding again this year unless I can get the trike built cos of the damage I've done to myself going to be stuck in this bloody wheelchair a while but i'm alive lol so not complaining :)

ash

Gonna be next year before you are back on 2 wheels Wolfie. How many weeks since your big off now ?

wolfieuk

Its 6 weeks this Wednesday mate and yeh good chance I wont be back on a bike til next year but we'll see how it goes ;)

crackin' bike mate, don't believe the hype, silver ones are the fastest 'cos they're the rarest (guess which colour I have!)

get over to www.redmonkey.com/7r where the owners club hang out. Anything you can do to a 7r - one of us has done it! fill in yer profile, take the two weeks of ritual abuse then yer in

for mine I'm activating the slipper clutch, bunging in 793cc 132 bhp race engine, wapping on a ZX14 front end and ZX10R swingarm once me man cave is built

well not been on here for a while, so thought i'd update thinks a bit, i'm on the mend still, able to hobble around the house and get out into the cave and get some work started on the ZX7R I picked up to replace the FZR 1000 I crashed:(  First off I've known this bike for a few years now as its was a mates bike and another mates before him so have a very good idea of its life over at least the last 13 or so years,
so she's was starting to show her age a little due to the last owner nothing having the spare time to keep on top of them little jobs that need doing from time to time, so I knew I had a bit of work on my hands,
First jobs was to get all the fairings off with help from a couple of mates cos of my useless left hand, them remove forks as chrome was pitted and they was leaking even after they had the seals done, so picked up another set in very good condition, while they was out we Had the rad off and replaced the down pipes as they was split and send them round a mates to be welded but while they was away I got bored and picked some more up off ebay, already had new chain and sprockets so fitted them and a new clutch slave, them new rear disc and pads and gave the caliper a service, fitted a hugger and new screen, built a new stubby can, K&N oil filter fitted ans oil change, forks refitted with new oil and set up to my settings only thing left to do is find a cheap left side rear set/peg hanger cos found a crack in mine, but all in all its going well, just need my body to hurry up and fix so I can get out on it :) will post pis soon

feel free to add me on facebook with a message to say your from this forum :) add steve rtwr wolfie
