Think its the end of sports bikes for me.  I'm not sure the GSXR will sell in a hurry so I may well keep it until Spring next year but having done a couple of commutes on the 990 Adventure now including a few twisties on the way home I have early 2014 plans for a new 1190 Adventure R.  I'm so massively impressed with the Adventure I can't see me back on a faired sports bike in a hurry.

Await the change of mind but for now - this is floating my boat big time....

Fancy some of that Tonka toy toughness too.

Good choice sir.

Nice bike and a lot of fun. Unfortunately I'm too small for one of them, I would love an off road bike, but I would need a kids one .

Makes sense selling the GSXR in the spring, there will be more buyers around.

My mate has just swapped his 2010 R1 for an 1190 Adventure and absolutely loves it, he doesn't love the price of the accessories though

Gave up riding a sport-bike years ago. They dont make sense for road use any-more.

Ditto...had a ride on a Panigale and a BMW S1000RR...after an hour I would regret going back...Speed Triple is the perfect balance of comfort/performance.

I'm the same - I'll give the ZZR a year and then it's something like a Speed Triple for me.

I have seen a complete reversal in the choice of the british bikers buying habits in the last 15 years. Cannot get enough KTM 1190 adventures , Ducati Multistradas etc. Spent the last few months scrounging stock of other dealers as all the 2013 stock has finished. Although the new 899 Panigale is going to be a storm over the next year!
