Eldest son turned up this afternoon with a CBF125 which he has acquired for the princely sum of £200.

Seems too cheap to be true but apparently it belonged to a friend of his friend who was knocked off it from the rear and it was written off.

He was going to let it go but my son's mate offered him £50 over whatever the insurers wanted to buy it back and here we are.

No V5, no receipt, no tax disc and no MOT certificate but apparently it is taxed and tested cos you can check all that online now Dad and he will apply for the V5.

First impressions - bent clip on, dead battery, severely leaking fork seals, wiring all over the shop but apparently working, bent gear lever, missing mirrors, brakes that need new fluid and a service.

So I guess that is my weekend sorted then, fretting with old school buying paperwork paranoia if nothing else.
