The trackbike is in need of a new battery.


Been looking around and I can pay around £30 for a cheapie from ebay, then I found the MotoBatt AGM batteries.

I got one in its 3rd year now.

I will be getting another one for sure.

Don't think they are any lighter nor. Heavier than the normal ones.

i swear by em.. they seem to take longer to discharge and last longer... plus the multi terminals on them are handy

A bought a yuasa off eBay, £39 really good service

absorbed glass matt technology has been around for a while and is a firm favourite for use in heavy discharge applications.

I use them as domestic batteries on a narrowboat and their resilience compared to traditional stuff is very impressive. Mine were purchased second hand off a company that disposed of its emergency UPS system

They are in their 4th year with me, still going strong and I have no idea how long they were in "use" before that. Normal batteries don't normally last much more than 2/3 years in the way I use them. Great technology.

Went to a MotoBatt for my Super Duke as it was killing standard batteries every 6month's, fitted it up and it worked a treat no more problems

I bought an AGM battery for my B1 about 6 months ago...so far, so good

Such a lovely lifestyle living on a river boat. One of my workmates moved into a narrowboat in Tewkesbury marina last year, and I paid him a visity a couple of weeks ago..idylic 

I've also done about 5 narrow boat holidays over the years...my kids loved them

I love it and would not change it for anything... its not for everyone though. I have had to learn a lot about electrics, and batteries for a start ...

and steel, and sealants, and plumbing and woodwork, and painting and chemical toilets and how to black drinking water tanks etc...

The agm tech is what they use for stop start batteries in the automotive industry.
