in original form they have a retaining plate on the inside which can get stuck, however the indicators stay in fine without then so fitting the indicators is just a case of feeding the wires through the hole and then pushing the rubber supporting arm into the holes so that it fits flush against the lip on it, I find a small flat blade screwdriver helps here. My ZX6RG never had the retaining plates and neither does my ZX9R on which the indicators are incidental.
