Spent a few hours setting up the suspension for my weight etc. took it for a half hour run around the lanes.......

Forgot to check how much petrol was in it and apparently the low fuel warning light doesn't work.

Still looks stunning by the side of the road!!!

So anyway, enough of my fecklessness..... my first ride on the blighter.

So i'd spent the morning setting up preload with my trusty tape measure and straps. I set the damping to road use settings as recommended in the hand book.

First impressions.... felt right at home back on a sports bike. As much as I love the Buell and as comfortable and easy to ride as it is, I just felt more in control straight away. I've never managed to get at ease with the sit up and beg riding position. I love having my weight over the front.

So, the bike..... well, it's loud..... intimidatingly so. The other thing which I felt at home with was a 4 cyl engine again..... I felt that I could go quick right away.

So, the noise, the engine, the riding position.... all point to this thing being a missile..... but it aint...... it's as flat as a pancake!!!

It's usable, and progressive but I was following a Fireblade and he was progressing through traffic using torque and I was working the engine...... which was actually quite a lot of fun.

It's still fast...... very fast, by the standards of what I remember fast being.... which has changed a shit load over the last few years, so it's probably modern 600 fast, which will do me.

After a short play on some fast A roads I hit the motorway to return home and ran out of petrol.

Seems to handle great, engine needs to be worked, looks amazing.

See you out there kids!!

I'm sure it will bring you many miles of fun atleast till the electronics pack up but fixing them is half the fun!

Lush mate!
I'm surprised Moz hasn't been along to tell you it will break down/fall apart/explode yet

You didn't see my Facebook comment.

I did, hence the comment on here!

Glad to hear it's as good as you dreamed it would be.  :moto:
Best sort that fuel light though!
