Get one. You will be surprised how much fun, these adventurer bikes can be.

I disagree - I found mine boring.  Not finished with sports bikes yet.
Significantly faster than you.....

Like you said, you still like your sportbikes. Wait until you get to my age. Then make a choice  ;)

Don't bad mouth the Explorer, I've got one. I think it's a great bike. Just done the best part of 3000 miles in 11 days round Europe on it, faultless. I've got other bikes as well but I always seem to grab the Explorer keys first.

Which one have you got Tim?

I keep looking at the Explorer (not spoked wheels version) with the panniers and a few extra. About £14,000 worth of bike but I look at it and I honestly think "I'd ride the shit out of that" and put silly mileage on it :-)

Lots of my friends have moved to the KTM 1000 Super Motos and Adventures. they seem to love them. Worth a look

What of, the bike or Europe?

I've got the one with cast wheels Peej, bought it 2nd hand with heated grips, hand guards, engine bars, arrow can, spot lights, sat nav mount. It's a 2012 with the recalls done. I like it.

Just been playing around with the KTM configuratormajig and built this little beauty up.

Eye wateringly expensive at nearly £14k!

I really like that....  :embarrassed:

Green_Ninja

I really like the bike with it, which just goes to prove you don't need a tourer to tour  :azn:
