Well 6 bikes and 12 years later, for the first time I no longer own a ninja.

Today I picked up my new s1000r. Took one out for a test ride last week and just had to have one. Awesome power and handling and far more comfortable than the zx6r.

Even restricted by running in it is a hoot to ride even in the torrential downpour  all the way home.

Only downside is the nearest dealer is 70 miles away.

Very nice any plans for it?

Probably just tail tidy and slightly smaller plate to start.

They're crap....you'll hate it... White ones are fastest...

Get the Radiator and Oil cooler guards before anything else. A must.
Tail Tidy is quality too.

Red looks ace - much better than the unreliable white ones!

Never really liked red bikes before. Even when I first took the demo out I didn't like it but it grew on me. Originally wanted a white one but there were none available only red or black and didn't fancy a black one so red it was.

Also the red one had the optional extra cruise control on which they didn't charge me for.

It needs an akky

No - it needs a decat. An Akky on a cat is a waste of time and money.

No the Akky does sound sublime...unfortunately there is very little out there by way of affordable easy decat systems....some are horrifically loud...and most are causing running issues....removing the low to midrange which is a great feature of this engine.

As Alzo says, most who remove the cat seem to be having issues.

The standard can sounds great as it us so I would only fit an akky end can for looks anyway. The cat is ugly but then you can't have everything.
