Tiiimmmaaayyyy

I think the pilots are more road orientated but to be honest unless you go on track or are a bit of a nut job on the road, you're not going to notice the difference

Just spoke to my regular garage and he has an offer on Bridgestone Bt021's at £180 fitted for the pair. Any body using these as these are right in budget as I speak so just wondered. Are they a decent tyre?

I thought I had pilot power 3's..... I have an invoice for a rear pilot power 3.... but I'm pretty certain that isn't what I put back on my bike yesterday!

bugger! Was looking forward to having one now after these raving reviews!

had a look at these last night.... they are Pilot Road 3's.... anyone got any experience with these? not really had a go on it yet as the rear has only been out in the wet and still has the sheen on it.

bloody good tyres mate, used those on my ZX10R.

Ideal, are they just harder wearing / lower temp than the powers?

Essentially more road focused so better for higher mileage, better in the rain allegedly. I've heard Dave (Cos) say on his R1 he was riding at a silly pace on the Road 2's and they were awesome.

They have been out since at least 2008 from memory so they are probably considered old hat now, but I'm pretty sure everyone said they were a good tyre at the time, although I can't comment.

021's are even older than that I think, they have been replaced by 023 and now T30, good tyres in their day but you can get better.

Cheers Peej (and Cos), looking forward to having a proper go on them now!

Someone else said they were an old tyre. I just need something that will last the speed and not go flat so easily. Might have to up my budget I think. Any views on pirelli diablos or Metzeler z6's age? Use etc??

Had 2 sets of Diablo Corsa 3's on my bikes and hated them both times, personal preference though. I know lots that love them.

I reckon nowadays there isn't really a "bad" tyre, just subtle differences to the feel and profile that make people prefer different ones.

I personally like Michelins but I've heard people state quite aggressively that they'll never buy another set, because of blah blah blah lol

I had the Pirelli Rosso Corsas, whatever is the slightly less sporty version od the tyres that come as standard on the Daytona. They were horrible in the wet, really horrible.... but in the cold and the wet.... my Christ.... fucking lethal. They used to spin up on very gentle throttle application in 4th gear at 30mph.....

whatever they were.... don't get those!

I've been riding on the maxxis diamonds for a couple of years now and through no choice for stickier rubber and finances always liked them but this time I want to try something a bit different but like you say there are that many views and "personal preferences" till I put them on I'm not going to know.
