How about a cb500x? Can get a virtually new one for that money, and spend a little more in getting a rally raid conversion kit.

A real do it all bike.

will have to do some research on, not a bike i know anything about

I would probably buy a clean and tidy 2000 VFR800 pre-VVT, or maybe one of the new Honda 750 twin things with the high fuel economy.

I'm doing 85 miles everyday and although I love riding the Blade in I have done 4k miles in a few months so may have to do the same as you and look for something more touring/commuter friendly.

I worked out that if I brought one of the high Fuel economy bikes it would have paid for itself in 3 years in fuel savings over the blade!

I also looked at the BMW 800 twins with fairings they give really good MPG figures, I would look into that should be just about in the 3k range.

cheers gilby

doesn't look half bad
looks like would certainly do the job.

It's why I got the bike and it managed perfectly, and it was good enough fun on the track day I took it on too.

Let me know if you want any more details. Number is 07989 220149 if you want to get more info.

I really like that also - would be ideal if your were looking to do low miles on it - bring the age / mileage a bit more in line with the norm.
