I've had it a few weeks and so far it's a love / hate relationship so far. Some days I think it's the best bike I've ever ridden while on other days I think it's been a waste of £15k......it might be just a bit too focused for a road going naked as it's basically a big bore RSV4 with upright bars. It would work really well on track but that's missing the point of the bike really.

Wish I'd tested both it and a S1000R first............it looks good though.

Took me time to gel with the R...a year in and it just gets better...the suspension is working better than ever...a very confidence inspiring bike.
Hopefully time will have you feeling the same way.

Or you could buy the best "naked" and get a Factory Tuono................ ;)

Cannot afford.

Plus the older RSV4 1000 version is as reliable as crumbly cheese so won't be buying a used one.
Significantly faster than you.....

Have you set your sag on der halter Alzo?

I've read that the suspension is shit until that's done?

Yeah did that...it hasn't been shit as such...just more recently with 6k on the clock it feels better...bedded in...even the odd sensation from the Slipper clutch has gone...everything just seems settled in nicely.

Front sag was within tolerance from factory...rear took a bit of time...only due to the fact you have to turn the adjustment Rod more than you would ever imagine...but it does get there.

The other thing Ive heard is that they are extremely noisy when you start them???

Have you experienced this?

Yip....sounds like the camchain rattling ( not saying that's what it is...only that it sounds like that)...lasts for about 0.3 of a second and clears...Tucker on here is on his 3rd RR...his first two were 20k plus bikes...current on 10k...and all his bikes have made this noise...
Only really audible in the first start up of the day...possibly the camchain tensioner is worked by oil pressure...guessing here....but as the saying goes..."they all do that Sir"

Exactly what a dealer trying to sell me a used one said.

Hopefully he comes back with a sensible price.

Cool...hope it works out. Great machine.

I think it's #1.

Just have to see if my local dealer fancies doing a deal on a MT10 but I'd be looking for at least £1000 off.

Mine has the startup noise as well. But as Alzo says only seems to be the first start of the day. Was a bit worrying at first but now I'm used to it I hardly notice it.

Not got round to setting the sag on mine yet, but cant say I have any complaints about it. Might get round to setting it this summer.

The sag is worth doing...you'll probably find the front is within the 6mm_10mm movement...the rear is set soft...so doing the rear definitely has the effect of the front and rear working better together...get a socket on a ratchet...because you will not believe how much it needs winding in to reach the desired movement..22mm -24mm from memory...ideally an assistant who is used to reading measuring tapes.
