£8 for parking....and they claim the show organisers subsidise it

Here is a tip...if you want to drive there, park in the Railway station car park instead. It is £5 for the day, and you get to walk from your car through the covered concourse instead of waiting 15 minutes for a bus, or 1/2 mile walk from the remote car park they always seem to allocate.

Oh...and £20 to get in

Went last year and was fairly underwhelmed really, if it wasn't a  4 hour round trip I'd probably go again but it's not worth the effort.

I'm only about 50 miles from the place so not a biggie, but can't carry anything big back with me if I go on the bike. Getting there on the train is good though :)

me too hence reluctance to go this year, to be fair I only tend to go every 3 years or so anyway

I did not make it last year and shame to hear it was not very good.

Always enjoyed the London show myself, not a lot to see there but a great opportunity to see old friends and have a beer.

I need to go and see my new bike. If I can get a day off for a mid-week alls the better
Significantly faster than you.....

I go every year used to ride down but now use the car as I always end up getting something.

I love the show

Honestly, the kids today.  I started biking when the highlight was the Manchester show at Belle Vue, which was held in what appeared to be a poky asbestos lean-to, the car park was a gravel pit by day.  I once travelled up to Blackpool for a "show" at the Norbreck Castle hotel, ten minutes and I'd seen everything, I can spend most of the day at the NEC and I'll still have missed a stand.

Use it or lose it.
