Any reason not to get one?

They are a bit of a lumbering beast...engine is nothing special...brakes and suspension are average at best.

Millhouse

Thankyou.

Almost did something daft....

They have a good following in the 55 and over bracket...and most are fettled and loved...big buddy had one and whilst it was good to a point...ie lazy cruising...if pushed it became kinda horrible...more so if you're used to Sports machinery.

A 1200 Bandit...despite me assuming it would be a big lump of shit I couldn't have been more wrong...some work on brakes and suspension makes a surprising package...stonking engine...pulls like a train.

Still have a hankering for a nicely sorted Rex.

Never got to scratch that itch cos Illoir got his insurance money from his stolen Blade before I got mine from my written off Mille.

big gav

I rode a GSX1400 that belonged to a workmate several years ago and i liked it. Its unfair on the bike to expect it
to perform like a sports bike as it isn't built for that. I found it exceptionally comfy, powerful and  easy to ride. But
it is quite a heavy lump. For the record my mate had aftermarket suspension on his and it didnt handle too bad.
