Hate to say it but GSXR750 mate

ash

My mates 2011 GSXR750 is no quicker in a straight line drag until you get about 140...how many places can you do that on a racetrack in the UK ?

The weak part of the B1 is the handling and the brakes, not the engine IMO

brakes are fixed with SBS duel carbon pads. stops very well now.

handling is much better since adding an elka race shock

Try a 675 for size...they are small...but may suit...handling is by telepathy...engine is grunty...you will not believe until you try one...

675 or GSXR 750 would be my solution. 750 just tops. The fridge, for a 2004 bike is superb.

And you wouldn't pass me ;-)
Significantly faster than you.....

would love a 7fiddy but they just look gopping (IMO) so that rules it out....

Was also told by a technician who worked for 2 years at Cheltenham Trumpet, that most of his time was spent doing waranteee work on the 675 engines...he said they were fragile
Trust the opinion of this bloke, he currently works for Skellerns Yamaha, but has worked for Kawasaki, and KTM in my recollection also, but the only one he has really bad mouthed was the 675 Daytona.

And your comment about passing Iain wasn't?

Significantly faster than you.....

Dom1

He passed Iain at Donny so more of a statement of fact than hypothetical really.

You can put an rr gearbox & slipper in the 636.

it was a fair comment

WizzBang

If you're thinking seriously about the 675 then speak to Iain (pickled onion) as he has lots of experience of running a 675, both trackdays and now endurance racing.

My money would go 675 btw....and it may do yet.

m6rk

675 would have my money but...

you probably wont be any quicker on it than the b1.. which is still a cracking bike..
