Been aware of this for a while but it looks likes the final production version has been launched.  Looks superb - 2T 125 power and weight!

This could change green laning for the better - no more noise for the NIMBYs to moan about.

I must try one.......

wonder how long the battery would last for?

wouldnt want to be out on a greenlane when that dies!

MOzZereLLa

Battery lasts at least 30 mins in the most aggressive motor "map" that MCN said is too aggressive for most (its more a MotoX type delivery).  Realistically, 40 mins battery life during "hard riding" was experienced by MCN.  That ain't bad.....

still not exactly amazing though.

charge time 1.5hrs. use time 40 mins. how many spare batteries (@ 2,000 euros each!!!) will you need for a days cocking around?

I think its superb -  what do you want, blood?

The nature of the bike and it use means a natural break of 90 mins after 45 mins hooning around is perfect.  As its not a "motor" vehicle it could theoretically ride more trails than bikes can at the moment.

Its expensive, yes; but its definately a step in the right direction to allow more off road areas to be used.  I'd happily take it on the Marin Trail in Snowdonia for example.

no, i think it's great. it's just that battery tech needs a mighty kick in the arse to improve run times!!

"As its not a "motor" vehicle it could theoretically ride more trails than bikes can at the moment."

I think you'll find that legally it will be classed as a Motor Vehicle and be subject to all the same rules an regulations. The only ones I am aware of that get around this are the ebikes that have a maximum speed of 15 miles an hour and have to be pedal assisted.

What's the betting the ramblers and horsey set will get the law sorted so you can't ride it anywhere that you can't ride a trail bike now.

Would love one, really fancied an electric off roader since reading about the ZeroG one years ago.

Therefore, mountain bikes should be banned as well, no different IMO - AFAIAC there is no difference.....

there is a huge difference the KTM has an engine, electric but an engine a MTB does not.

MOzZereLLa

You can get electric motors for mountain bikes but I bet they wouldn't be banned.

not the same thing, an   ebike or a MTB with a clip on bike is a motor assisted pushbike, the KTM is not.
