Although the major focus of my posting was an attempt to sell my bike, rather than a genuine academic interest in whether people have or have not in fact sold other bikes on here!!

It's a shame we don't have some kind of mechanism so that when people post stuff for sale, the threads can't be hijacked by general conversation etc.
