4 weeks from 29 April was 27 May and then the engine was still a week away from coming back.

It can't be long now surely.

I went out to see the guys at Hertfordshire Superbikes today. There's progress although they still couldn't get the barrels off the crank case. They're sourcing replacement barrels cos it's got to the big hammer stage now. So the engine's still not had anything done to it (the place that was meant to be doing the engine work had it for a month and a half before giving up).

They've replaced the frame's rusted-through cross member. It was behind the oil cooler. The frame's ready to go off for powder coating now so I picked the colour I want.

They've also sanded back the tank as requested. There are some bits where they couldn't get it all off so it'll get bead blasted this week. Then José will clearcoat it along with the alloy front mudguard I bought (which I need to take along to them next weekend).

Kick ass and get these Dudes moving.  ;)

Raydial

To be fair to Hertfordshire Superbikes, they were hamstrung by the engine place that held onto the engine for so long. The frame guy wouldn't replace the cross member without the engine in place in case it ended up springing out of shape when he removed the bad bit. Progress should be quicker now and they've got another engine place lined up to do the rebuild. They've got less work on, apparently.

I'm messing Ray...as long as you're satisfied then that's all that matters...the end result is where they will be judged.

Carbon_ZX6R

you will love it when its all done until you look at all the receipts and and go "IT COST ME HOW MUCH!!!!"
