Thinking of selling up...

The fact is I was looking to sell my bike just because I was not using it enough. The price of fuel and tyres has gone stupid and the insurance, servicing and MOT every year were another cost I could not really justify.

Then I wrote it off which gave me some time to reflect and I am now happy with the track bike and riding trials.

It has taken from 2011 to now to start thinking I would like another road bike but the money is not there and neither is the time still.

I got rid of mine a couple of years ago for the same reason and if I'm being honest don't miss it like I thought I would.  Time with the family is more precious than time on a bike.

I do keep thinking about selling all the bikes because I have a baby on the way id be bloody properly loaded could buy a Maserati with that sort of money but I think id miss it too much need atleast another half decent crash before I retire got a few more brushs with death left in me (touch wood)

It's a lot harder to find the money to buy another once it's gone, even if you use it very infrequently I would say keep it if funds allow.

This is a a great point. The wife would squeal if i said in a few years I want to spend £x on another bike as I miss it.

It's not about though is it?...you fear for your license given your location.
