right unknown to me my other half has just sent her licence off to have her 6th point put on she has held a full licence for less than 2 years am I right in imagining that when they realise she has 6 points they will revoke her licence she got the letter about the 3 more points a paid the fine thinking she would be ok (she didn't know about the probation period) I explained that the letter is not from dvla and that its probably a standard letter, any advice would be appreciated thanks

has she definitely had her license for less than 2 years? By that I mean it's  not just less than two years since she got a bike entitlement or similar? the probation period is only 2 years from when you pas your first proper test..... just a thought as to why nobody has twigged yet.

Carbon_ZX6R

She only ever did her bike test not done car , she's had her licence about year and half

I'm guessing a penalty retest would have massive implications for insurance????

I never knew about the penalty retest - I wonder how many new drivers do???

Is it stressed to them during lessons etc??

fair to the system though I do think she's bloody dangerous the way she rides sometimes but then again we all have mad moments

all the damage and abuse she has caused and inflicted to my bikes I cant help think its karma

bloody shame as I doubt she will redo it and it was so hard to find me a "bird biker" in the first place

It's a ban...so she would need to declare it...and yes the information is passed on regarding the points status.

Carbon_ZX6R

its not a ban its a licence revoke she could retake it the next day if she had the licence in possession

shes pregnant so im only slightly annoyed this is happening as you could imagine

she don't even declare her points to her insurer...

she don't even declare her points to her insurer...

Then she might as well not even bother having insurance  :undecided:
