I know Anna and I not being able to have kids has probably made me a bit touchy on the subject, but this thread has wound me up something chronic.

Please tell me this is a wind up and whatever your beautiful little girl decides to do with her life will receive your love and support?
If not...... I look forward to seeing you on Jeremy Kyle.

and apologies for being touchy if I've misread the situation....... my wife thinks you're a c**t...... I don't

You get what you are given with kids. You will give them unconditional love irrespective of their life choices (unless they turn into axe murderers)
You can help nurture THEIR interests by supporting and funding it, but you cannot make them like something because you do.

I've been branded a weirdo too, it's probably an accurate description of me to be fair.

Embrace it and use it to make people laugh  :afro:

I've seen pushy parents whipping their kids along at horse show as they are trying to live their own dreams  through them. It isn't pleasant.

The most you can hope for is that they are happy with their lot and enjoy good health. If they really enjoy something, then help them, if they don't, accept it with good grace.

We would never try forcing her into bike racing may give her a slight nudge etc just wanted to see what options are out there in the male dominated sport

My mate has one of these for his 5 year old, awesome! You can control the power with a screwdriver at the back, older they get the more power they get!

Looking at OSET bikes for my lot if they show an interest in doing trials.

Wouldn't a wig and gown be what they'll need if they want to do trials?

I hope so but it depends ;)
