Just cleaning my bike today and have just seen that my pads are nearly worn out, they have only done 2 trackdays and 2 evening sessions!

Is this normal, my brakes don't appear to be binding..

I'm using the Bendix MMR pads

there all slightly different as with tyres the manufacturer should be able to tell you

That's about 300 miles. I'd say you need to check the pistons aren't seized. Are they evenly worn ?

That's what I thought but as I've never used this type of pad before I thought I'd ask.. They work really well.. I actually noticed my brake fluid looked a bit low so that's what led me on to check the pads

They all appear to just about be wearing at the same rate, maybe the lower pistons are slighty further out of th caliper than the top but only just

something's clearly not right as they should last a lot longer

It depends ... My z04's last one race and most of a track day... SBS DCs just the race.

I only get 4 days max out of my SBS Dual Carbons

Thanks guys, apparently this wear rate is fairly normal I'm told.

Any suggestions for good pads that last a bit longer!... I'm tight :(

do you want actual "race" pads or just cheap long lasting strong biting road pads?

I mainly just the bike for track riding but with the occasional weekend road bike.

I may be wrong but I'm told the SBS dual carbons don't like the wet, maybe the SBS racing sintered? Will still be good but last a bit longer.

I'm probably going to be told just stop being tight  ;)
