I can buy anything I like.

Just so long as I never forget that I am denying my children every penny of the price.

yep she's started sprouting that one aswell, she's also mentioned that the baby needs a new r6.... so there is clearly a double standard

I bought my RC8R couple months back, 2011 model. I test rode 2009 and found it to be very simular with harse throttle response to the KTM Superduke R i had before (although u do get used to throttle response and start enjoying it after a while!!)

The RC8r is i find more comfortable then the Naked Superduke, your more in the bike then one the bike, leg room is fine and everything is adjustable, seat, pegs, bars, etc.

I've had inline four 1k bikes in the past and since owning superduke r i just love the big Vtwin engine, torque is immense and the bike just goes where u point it. Test ride one, you'll either love it or hate it. Very different to an inline four, althugh the 2011 revised package uses two sparks plugs per cyclinder for smother power delivery. If your gonna to buy one try get one with Akrapovic exhaust... if u want to add it later its about 2k or 1.5k for second hand!!!

Bloke who had it before me was 74 years old and it was his second RC8, he traded it for KTM 1190 Adventure as he wanted to tour more!!

p.s, i am married...... with child :)

Mate just bought one and loves it. You need a later model with twin spark as apparently it smooths out power delivery.

Moz will be along shortly I'm sure.

Amazes me how many people sell bikes or don't get them purely based on the nagging they either have got or will get. When I went looking for my current bike I'd told Steff was only going to spend about £3k, sent her a picture of the R1 at the dealer and she text back asking how much, I told her, £6500. Her reply was "Can you afford it? Then get it".

Smples :)

Although I acknowledge if she ever wants to spend a similar amount on something I'm going to have to keep my gob shut  :moto:

I'd never even consider buying a bike without Anna's agreement.

She's stood by me through some pretty torrid times with my business and always backed me 100% so it's only right.

That said, she did buy the Buell for my 40th.

Neither would I mate.....Steff though, not Anna. I have a feeling Anna couldn't care less what I spend my money on.... :)

HAHA!! She is a nosey cow though.....

All couples are different. We share bank accounts and Anna deals with all the money...... personally can't stand the stuff but love what you can do when you have it.......

GET ONE, GET ONE, GET ONE, GET ONE.

I like my bike.

A lot.

I'd have to agree with the newer twin-spark thing, endless power and super smooth.

JUST GET IT!!
