Having issues getting insured!

Mini-bike doesn't live with me at the moment, but I'm having trouble putting in a different address for insurance quotes. The few companies which ask about where it's stored overnight then say on their terms that the quote is based on "the bike staying overnight at your home address".

Anyone know companies which are happy to insure the bike away from home? I've only been doing online quotes, so it will be nice to have a small list of people I know will do this and I'll get on the phone to them.

Thanks  :cheesy:

They want to give me a £1,450 excess! A little excessive I think!

Wouldn't it be easier to take it home even if you kept it indoors!?! At that price any way

captain sensible

Now with 100% more sarcasm.

Performance Direct seems to be ok, I could put both addresses in their form. Just waiting for them to call me back to confirm everything then I should be sorted :)

A YZF R125 :(
there is no way that excess is right

you can in fact insure it at any address you want and keep it (now and again wink wink) over night at another address but if it is stolen at night at that address your excess may double

Ebike insurance cater for bikes garaged elsewhere, also changes to policy done online at no charge, if there is no change in premium

They did that with me too. gave a great policy price and the excess was over £1000

most insurances cant do over £500 voluntary and £500 compulsory

especially on low value bikes
