Letting go of a sports bike

Naked is fun..... But back to the bikes 

Loved my sports bikes and did toy with a swap a few years ago mainly tempted by the street triple but I stuck on the sports up until I decided to examine the Tarmac at Donnington closely without using a bungee cord.. Consequently my beloved GSXR is now fightered and boy is it a giggle and I have to say because it is at heart a sports bike it goes round corners brilliantly, feels more comfortable than a sports bike and I love it. Do I miss the sports ?? Well yes but mainly because I really want a ZX10 for its aggressive styling otherwise I'm more than happy to stick to my fighter because ultimately it gives me everything I love about biking.

I would have a Street Triple anyday as the engine is a peach, the handling is awesome and it looks the part

I must admit I loved my Street Triple R, Loved the sound of the Triple with the Lowboy exhaust and a real Hoot on the track.

Not ridden for nearly 2 years now but if I was to ride again it would be a naked, quite fancy a 1200 Monster

I streetfightered my ZX10 after slinging it down the road at donington a few years back. I damaged my neck in the process which makes riding sports bikes painful

When I look at the 10 now I dont get so much of a buzz from it, and i dont think it has the kudos that riding a 1000cc sports bike does. But once on it, i much prefer it to the sports version - its soooooooooooooooooo much fun and makes me grin from ear to ear whilst riding it. Id love one of the BMW s1000r naked bikes if pennies allowed it.

no where near ready to give up on sports bikes myself
dabbled with idea of nekids last year but not for me

that said there are a couple i really like the look of
I do like the new z1000 and of course the 1290 superduke
the new cb1000 is a nice looking bike too

I've always had a soft spot for retro's like the Zeds, XJR's etc.

Cockles and DeeDubya on the Z1000 and Rex at the 2006 'fest were hero's in my book.

I'll admit the older Jap nakeds look great (older XJR a, GSX1400 etc) but that new XJR (especially in Cafe Racer guise) looks crap. WTF is that silver airbox cover either side of the seat.
