I have recently got rid of most of the bits off my old crashed track bike and have also cut up and disposed of the frame.

I am trying to notify the dvla that I have scrapped it nut there doesn't seem to be a way of doing it unless I have a certificate from an approved breakers, which I don't have.

I have tried phoning them but there lines are always 'too busy to take my call'.

There used to be a box to tick on the V5 but this is no longer an option.

Anyone know how to notify them properly?

I think that 'disposal' of a frame can only legally done by a registered scrap yard nowadays.

So it would seem, doesn't help that I have already done it though. Guess I will have to keep trying to get them on the phone to sort it.

report it stolen.

Making it fraud - great idea, lying to the law when a simple call to the DVLA should sort it.

Failing that find a friendly scrapper and see if they'll help.

I presume you don't have the frame "bits"?
Significantly faster than you.....
