Although saying that I have a feeling the one on my R1 didn't have a split pin and looked like the pin had been peened to secure it in place.

it just has circlip holding it in place
remove, tap out the bolt, jobs a good un

just watch where the circlip ends up once it pings across the garage as you flick it off..

I changed mine in works car park.... took me ages to find one of them
