Hi,

Just made a small and relatively cheap mod to my FZ8 and I am so pleased at the difference it's made to riding the bike..

I just feel so much more connected having got rid of the rubbery, ugly OE pegs. Really chuffed and only £25.

..........................

I have fitted some billet alloy foot pegs and they feel great under my feet and no vibes because the pegs are still rubber mounted on the frame.

and here's the ebay link to the items I bought. They came from far east but I've had no issues at all and the delivery was about 10 days.

There are UK based versions but they are nearly twice the price..

thanks for reading...

yeah rearsets and pegs have always been high on my mod list
i have been meaning to replace the pegs on the 899 since i got it, and only just ordered my new ones last week
the standard pegs are dangerous in the wet
my rizoma replacements cost a bit more than yours, but i was quite happy with £75, i managed to resist the rearsets.. at least for now
just got to wait for them to turn up, as come from italy they may be a while!

Yeh pegs on the Pani are abject shite.

Rizoma are the way forward, you say?

I will look into it...

I looked at rear sets for this but the whole rear brake switch hastle put me off a bit. TBH it's totally comfy and even riding at pace, I haven't scraped the pegs yet, even with the long 'feeler' studs on the OE pegs so I'm sure that these will more than sort me out.

And I don't ride in the wet if I can help it  :embarrassed:

I see it asks you for "adapters" and "passenger adapters"... I assume however that this is only a pair, so you don't need to include the passenger adapters unless you're buying two pairs?

Correct?

yeah i suspect that is how it works
as i was only buying  the rider footpegs i just ignored the 2nd "passenger" field
the order confirmation received showed the items i wanted so it went through to them ok

Er, how do you get the OEM pegs off?

Thought there would be an allan bolt or something but it appears not...

Yes, I am mechanically inept!
