mobile tyres in zee norf!

Got a flat tyre this morning. Anyone know of a good mobile repair / tyre swap service in or around Manc that they could recommend please?

Would it not be easier and cheaper to just take the loose wheel to a garage?

cheaper yes, not easier and not quicker.

When you're a high powered, high rolling dynamo of a man such as myself there really is no time to be taking wheels off or scratching new numbers onto engine casings and things like that.

Twat! Thought it might be as you could just drop in most places , with a fitter you have to book a time

You may well be right, but my biggest hurdle would be getting the rear wheel in the air with no jack or paddock stand and then the fact there are no motorbike wheel fitters near my commute - plus, having to bring the car into work is an arse ache. Nevertheless, it looks like it might be my only option.

The other half has had to stay down south. He says he's too committed to the Southern Ninja-fest's to move up north.... and it's definitely too far to travel for them. C'est la vie!

lived and worked in west didsbury for 10 years. The old church along Burton Road was my office (now the British Mountaineering Council)..... Th Violet Hour opposite was also a recent project.

That's a couple of minutes walk from where I worked. Back in the late 80's/early 90's it was a notorious rough Whitbreads pub and the scene of many a gang shooting.

The practice I was working for did a scheme on it and it was this young junior's job to survey the blighter...... I had to have a police escort just to walk around the place...... one of the upstairs rooms had the corpse of the manager's poor dog, which had been caught in cross fire the night before.

The transformation of the area has been staggering, it's now a trendy urbane hot spot.
