New tyres in order for the 6r. I've been on the maxxis diamonds for a couple of years now and I rate them especially good despite the general consensus of brand name slanging matches. I've got about 180 notes and I've wondered what I can have a look at changing to. I've found a pair of the Metzeler M7rr on the bay for £182 and I'm tempted to have a go at these. There's so many new compounds I can't decide on the Dunlop or michelin compounds because I tend to run the top down through commuting so something that isn't going to square off so easily needs to be considered. Any input people appreciated.

Michelin pilot power 3's for me. Toured the UK, 2 trackdays in and still plenty of life left. I'm on my 2nd set and get about 3-4k out of a rear which to me is pretty good. That's on an S1000rr too.

I've run Pilot Power 2CT's for years, now on my first set of Power 3's and can't fault them :-)

The power 3's do they have the seperated compounds on the sides to the top?

It looks like Peej has 3 compounds on his but that's cos he hasn't leant over very far ;)

I thought I had pilot power 3's..... I have an invoice for a rear pilot power 3.... but I'm pretty certain that isn't what I put back on my bike yesterday!

bugger! Was looking forward to having one now after these raving reviews!

To be fair that was the day I got them after about 4 miles of riding on them lol

They don't like "quite' that bad now  :afro:

Cheers guys will have a gander at them. You can definately see the change in compounds. What are they like in the wet?

Tim can probably comment better than me as I've not had mine long. But I've ridden twice in completely soaking wet weather and they were planted and felt safe as houses, not so much as a twitch.

I did 1000's on my old 2CT's (older generation) and I can confirm in the wet they are great. I did a couple of hundreds miles back from Scotland in 2012 in torrential rain.

I'm on my second set and haven't had any issues in the wet.  As an all round sporty tyre you can't really go wrong.  Although you can see the change in compound you can't feel it.

Fastas......

I can vouch for the power 3's. Bloody awesome tyre

had a look at these last night.... they are Pilot Road 3's.... anyone got any experience with these? not really had a go on it yet as the rear has only been out in the wet and still has the sheen on it.

Ideal, are they just harder wearing / lower temp than the powers?
