Seriously had my eye on an MT10 when it was mentioned that a nearly new MV was the same money. Any thoughts/advice on the Brutale?

Test ride one. The power delivery / fuelling on the earlier 675 models was a bit binary.

Needs to be experienced to explain properly. Otherwise, make sure you have a decent MV dealer close by, not the best reputation for reliability but nothing drastic.

Much better looking bike than the Yamaha. The new non Dragster Brutale 800 is supposed to be awesome.

Significantly faster than you.....

Not much to add to what Moz says re the MV...looks amazing...the MT10 has to be one of the worst looking bikes given to us by Japan...it just looks unfinished around the rear...and around the Radiator area...almost like they ran out of ideas and thought fuck it...I predict a sales flop where the MT10 is concerned.

Have you checked out the new Tuono 1100's?

Lovely bike but make sure you have a dealer close by - reliability and parts supply worse than MV.

The clutch failed on the RSV RF during the MCN test recently...

Sorry Gobert ;)

I've done my research - I've been on one of the better Aprilia forums for a while now. The V4 motor has become a lot more reliable over the past few years and the 1100 motor is less stressed than the thou units in the RSV's. The 1100 Factory has been out for nearly 12 months so I've got a decent idea on what to expect.

I've ordered mine through A+D's as they are the nearest dealer but I'm keeping the ZZR14 so I won't be without a bike whatever happens. Not sure I'd have one as an only bike though but saying that MV's have a much worse reputation. Press / demo bikes get abused so that doesn't concern me either.

I like the Tuono...but Dealerships are thin on the ground around these parts...the 1100 engine gets great reviews.

Gobert

It's about 65 miles to my nearest dealer but I really wanted to try one so my Tuono 1100 Factory should be in the country this month..............

First time I've had enough money to buy what bike I actually want bar none.

Alzo

Enjoy...it's almost as good as an S1000r...   :moto:

Gobert

To be fair there's wasn't much to choose between them.................only better looks, engine, chassis and electronics...............it was close..............

Oh yeah - the Aprilia kicks the Beemers arse.

Plus it's got an engine with a bit of character (when it works) ;)

I realise me on any bike is ridiculous due to my size but

I hope the guy in the picture is about 8 foot tall cause that looks teeny!
