You really have no idea how much Civil Servants are paid do you? We are cheap to employ compared with service shineys..........as for DINKY's, a first year Flt Lt with flying pay earns quite a bit more than both of us put together. Word.

Was in the local BMW Motorrad dealer this morning and was looking at the S1000XR.

Dealer said the demo's not booked, take it out for a hour if you like, so I did so.

Really liked it.

Very fast. Easy to ride. Comfortable. Up and down the box quick shifter was neat.

Sorely tempted.

I can't afford an XR but it gets excellent reviews.

Its a shame the XR and RR QS doesn't get put onto the R.  I'm sure it would be an easy retro fit?

The XR is good....the R is great...downshift on R cannot be retro fitted....many discussion on R forum...couldn't care less that it's not there...I like to be involved in riding...good news on your new purchase.
