Where are Norton up to these days?

Hasn't the whole thing been a massive ongoing farce for about the last ten years?

And aren't they totally the wrong price, even if you can actually get one?

Easier and cheaper to go into a shop, give them £12k, and ride out on a Triumph Thruxton R.

And that's the point. The older ones were plagued with notchy gearboxes and transmission issues but the Mk2 from 2015 onwards is a total redesign that sorts that out.

Trying one will be hard as there are only a handful of official dealers in the UK and nine anywhere near me.

Might have to try a Thruxton R to see what the riding position and engine characteristics are like.

I saw a thruxton R from a distance the other day and swore blind it was a Norton till I got close

They are very pretty, but I do wonder if the Thruxton R hasn't made them a bit obsolete.
Could be one of those bikes that becomes a collectable classic in a few years, or something you can't give away!

Only you know where you are in biking...it's a cracking looking bike...but I genuinely think the Thruxton R would be a better option...reliable with real performance.
