For me either the Paul Smart Ducati, MV or Ducati Senna or the 900 are candidates.

Significantly faster than you.....

In no way an "investment" opportunity.

Just a standard model.  Will drop to more for certain.

Knowing how much I appreciate a properly sorted competition machine I am wondering where ex-race bikes would fit into the investment bracket.

Other than track days at Goodwood.

ive gone about this in a slightly different way
i already know i own the greatest bike ever made and that will be sought after til end of days
so bought myself this little beastie to use as my day to day

so the 899 can spend more of its time sitting about with its feet up being pampered
so far loving the ktm, its mental!

Thoughts on the RC8 kids?...... potential future icon?......

No racing pedigree to speak of, didn't move the game forward, not even highlighted as a stand out machine of the time...... just an unusual design.

Maybe seen with the same fondness as a Suzuki Katana in years to come?

I'd still love one in my garage..... but I'm not sure how I'll feel about it in 5-10 years time.

Its a no from me.

Not special enough.

I think Will Smith had it right in iRobot where he plays a Converse wearing, MV F4 riding future cop with a penchant for iconic classics.........

are we going to have one of those 'bikes are cheaper in the winter' moments?
