PTFE is pretty slippy...would I put slippy stuff near my brakes I ask myself...the answer would be "?"

Just nip down to Halfords and ask for some Brake Disc Lubricant.  Job done.

Or you could go old skool Brando....

Slacken off your bleed nipples half a turn. Get some correct size plastic piping and fix that to the bleed nipples , the other end should go to the affected areas. So each time you brake you will be lubricating the rusty areas. Keep checking your brake fluid level on a weekly basis . Or adapt the brake fluid bottle to replace the reservoir.

Once it's clean hook up a Scotoiler to keep it lubricated alongside the chain.

Remember the oil reservoir will depleat twice as fast as normal.
